BREAK-RESISTANT

SOLO EXHIBITION

This series of sculptures emerges from a reflection on an ambiguity intrinsic to the contemporary condition: the tension between the possibility of collapse and that of elevation. Within a context shaped simultaneously by scenarios of environmental breakdown and imaginaries of technological expansion, the works approach this tension as a structural state.

The conceptual axis revolves around resilience, understood through its dual origin: in the mechanics of metals, where it defines a structure’s capacity to withstand stress and deform without fracturing, and in psychology, where it refers to the ability to adapt in the face of adversity.

From this perspective, the sculptures establish a parallel between the minimal structures that sustain urban life — antennas, supports, nearly invisible devices — and the psychic structures that sustain human experience. Slender, precarious, and luminous forms embody an active resistance, one in which stability is constructed through instability itself.
